The City of Quinte West invites applications for the following casual position:

Casual Custodian, Community Services and Strategic Partnerships

Reporting to the Manager of Facilities and/or the Head Custodian, the incumbent is responsible for the cleanliness of City-owned facilities. The position is responsible for room set-up, monitoring, performing and recommending repairs/maintenance and carrying out security functions to ensure safe, clean, tidy and well-functioning facilities. 

Education and Experience

The position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, as well as a minimum of one (1) year of custodial experience in a public facility, with basic knowledge of the operation of heating systems and other facility equipment. The successful candidate will be able to obtain and maintain a level 3 security clearance and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).

Remuneration: 2024 C.U.P.E. Salary Grid Band 4  – $24.95 per hour

Note: This is a casual position without a regular schedule; the incumbent will be scheduled to work on an as needed basis to meet business requirements. Regular evening and weekend shifts are required.
