Summary

As a Millwright/Machinist you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting and repairing equipment while following safety rules and regulations. You will be required to maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failure.

Job Duties identified but not limited to:

-Interpret diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

-Install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools

-Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions

-Adjust, repair and/or replace defective parts on machinery

-Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machineries

-Ensure operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations

-Sharpen and maintain machine tools

-Detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation

-Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machines

-Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances

-Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area

-Perform other related duties as may be assigned

Job Requirements

-High School Diploma or Equivalent

-Licensed Industrial Millwright with minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience

-Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills allowing one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

-Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

-Working knowledge of Safety Standards of Equipment

-Experience using PLC’s is an asset

-Competence in Mig, Tig and Stick welding

-Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines if required

-Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times

-Ability to work in a team environment

 

Work Conditions

-Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade

-Physical ability to lift up to 45 lbs

-Regular exposure to conditions including heat, humidity and dust

-Work both indoors and outdoors

-Use of required personal protective equipment
