Carpenter – Full Time

Pay: CA$28.00–CA$35.00 per hour

Marquise Construction is a Tarion-registered custom home builder specializing in luxury residential projects in Prince Edward County. With over 15 years in business, we pride ourselves on exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a highly collaborative client experience. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our team as we continue to build unique, architect-driven homes and high-end renovations.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate is an experienced carpenter with strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for high-quality work. You will be working on custom homes, large-scale remodels, and premium commercial projects. This role requires someone who can independently execute tasks while also collaborating closely with our site leads and trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair structures, framing, and interior/exterior finishes.
• Work with wood, plywood, engineered materials, wallboard, and specialty products.
• Perform restoration, renovations, and detailed finish carpentry to a high standard.
• Assist with roofing, siding, drywall installation, flooring, and occasional masonry-related tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and project specifications.
• Operate hand and power tools safely, efficiently, and with precision.
• Collaborate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and other team members to maintain project timelines.
• Participate in material take-offs and estimating when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site while following all safety procedures.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient with a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, building codes, and materials.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, measurements, and technical documents.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or within a team.
• Physically capable of lifting materials and performing manual labor as needed.

Experience

• 5+ years of carpentry experience (preferred)
• Experience with custom homes or high-end residential projects is an asset
• Red Seal Certification (preferred)
• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence (required)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
