ABOUT US:

County Fare, established in 2012 in Prince Edward County, is a family-run operation that has grown from a small home canning business into a national supplier for over three hundred stores. We specialize in no sugar added, preservative-free, gluten-free, and non-GMO products, including ketchups, BBQ sauces, cooking sauces, fruit spreads, and hydration drinks.

We are currently looking for local individuals interested in part-time and or seasonal job opportunities to join our team. If you are interested in food manufacturing or entrepreneurship, we have several positions available immediately.

JOB POSTINGS:

Food Production Manager

This position oversees daily production, safety compliance, and staff scheduling.

– Key Duties:

· Leading production staff, inventory and resource management, equipment troubleshooting, and training new employees on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

· Preparation and processing, quality control, packaging/labeling, and maintaining detailed production records (HACCP documentation).

– Requirements:

· Food safety knowledge, physical stamina, and basic math skills.

· Strong leadership and communication skills.

Food Production Assistant

This role supports manufacturing and packaging by following standardized recipes, operating machinery, and maintaining strict sanitation standards.

– Key Duties:

· Leading production staff, inventory and resource management, equipment troubleshooting, and training new employees on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

– Requirements:

· Food safety knowledge, physical stamina, and basic math skills.

· Strong leadership and communication skills.

General Labourer

These are essential, fast-paced roles focused on the physical aspects of production.

– Key Duties:

· Production line packing, box assembly, quality inspection, and sanitation of work areas.

– Requirements:

· Physical strength for standing and lifting, a strong work ethic, and punctuality. These are entry-level positions with on-the-job training provided.

FINAL DETAILS:

· Must be flexible with your work hours and days. We offer approximately 7 to 25 hours per week depending on the position.

· General hours are 7 am to 1-2 pm but we can be flexible on start times depending on your personal situation. We generally work two days a week and they are usually on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Thursdays.

· You will be responsible for your own transportation to get to and from this work location.

· Please note we are willing to train those who show a keen interest in food production and will pay for your Ontario food handlers’ certification.

· Rate of pay will be based on experience: basic rate for general labour starts at $18.00 per hour and will increase upon performance.
