Position: Superintendent, Term: Contract That Renews Annually 

Monthly Contract Payment of $1,500 + Sales Commissions

Part-time, flexible hours based on burial schedule, minimum 16 hours per week

On a typical day, a Cemetery Superintendent interacts empathetically with grieving families and coordinates with funeral directors for interment rights and funeral services. The Superintendent handles administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate records, processing sales transactions, and ordering supplies. They carryout grounds maintenance, manage burial schedules, and work with a grave digging contractor. They ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Resourceful and independent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and strong organizational skills are crucial in ensuring the cemetery operates efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

•    Provide compassionate, respectful support to grieving families

•    Coordinate with funeral directors regarding burial rights and funeral services

•    Manage administrative tasks, including responding to emails, maintaining accurate records, processing sales transactions, and ordering supplies

•    Oversee grounds maintenance and contribute to preserving the cemetery’s beauty and tranquility

•    Manage burial schedules and collaborate with the grave‑digging contractor

•    Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and organizational policies
