Our team is currently hiring: Cooks, Dietary, Housekeeping & Laundry Aides – for summer relief

What will you be doing?

-Participates with other members of the Nutritional Care Team in meeting the nutritional needs of all residents in the home

-Preparation of menu and snack items in compliance with the Ministry of Health requirements

-Follow food safety practices, including personal hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, proper storage, and cleaning procedures

-Regularly monitor and document food safety practices to ensure compliance

-Plating meals and meal delivery to the residents

-Clearing and cleaning dishes, general cleaning duties

-Maintain positive relationships with staff, residents, families, and public

-Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Long-Term Care Homes Act, and their regulations in performing duties safely and following all Crown Ridge Healthcare Health & Safety policies, procedures, and legislations

-Clean and maintain designated areas of the facility, including rooms, bathrooms, and common areas

-Dust furniture, sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets, and clean windows

-Empty trash receptacles and replace liners

-Sanitize surfaces and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment

-Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products

-General laundry duties include the collecting and sorting of all soiled laundry following all established methods and techniques.

What will you bring along:

-Experience in institutional, health care, restaurant, or hospitality cooking

-Current Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain

-Vulnerable sector check that is less than 6 months old at the time of hire

-TB test steps 1 and 2 proof and 1 step in last 6 months until two step obtained in last year.

-Good communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization

-Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always

-Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently

-Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills

-Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
