Hours: 

Part-Time (20–24 hours/week) — 1-Year Contract with Potential to Extend (this is not a hybrid/remote position)

Must have own transportation/reliable vehicle on a daily basis

Hours of work: 20-24 hours/week (flexible schedule TBD within standard operating hours)

Standard operating hours are 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday

Salary:

Wage $24.00 – $27.00 / hour, depending on experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Digital Communications Support

Prepare and schedule newsletter content using templates and content provided by the CEO and team

Update website pages with accurate information, event details, and member announcements

Format and publish social media posts using established content and brand templates

Support targeted communications and advocacy updates by formatting, posting, or distributing prepared content

Maintain consistent digital presence in alignment with Chamber standards

 

Brand Identity & Template Stewardship

Manage and maintain brand templates, ensuring all materials follow Chamber style guidelines

Apply approved layouts, fonts, colours, and design elements to digital content and event materials

Make minor template adjustments as needed to support the CEO and Member Services Specialist

Uphold brand consistency across newsletters, website updates, social posts, and printed materials

 

Content Preparation & Accuracy

Take content provided by the CEO and staff and transform it into clean, professional communications

Proofread materials for accuracy, clarity, and formatting consistency

Prepare recognition posts, new member welcomes, event reminders, and other routine communications

Maintain digital photo and asset libraries, ensuring everything is organized and properly archived

 

Digital Organization & Administrative Support

Maintain organized file structures for media, templates, documents, and historical files

Assist with inbox triage for the CEO, flagging and organizing key communications

Format documents, presentations, reports, and board materials as needed

Support scheduling requests and communications with members, partners, and community stakeholders

Assist with vendor coordination for digital tools, website updates, or technology needs

 

OTHER DUTIES

Provide Visitor Services/Reception coverage as required

Develop a knowledge of tourism assets available in the local and surrounding communities

Perform supportive administrative functions for the Log Cabin as needed

Qualifications:

Qualifications

Education

  • Post-secondary education in communications, digital media, office administration, marketing, design, or a related field is preferred

  • Equivalent experience will be considered

Experience

  • 5–7 years in one or more of the following areas:

    • communications or marketing support

    • office or administrative support with digital responsibilities

    • content formatting, design, or digital coordination

    • website updating or CMS use (experience with ChamberMaster is an asset)

  • Experience with Canva (or similar design platforms) is preferred

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent organization and digital filing skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Ability to follow templates and maintain consistent brand identity

  • Clear, concise writing and proofreading ability

  • Comfortable supporting senior leadership and maintaining confidentiality

  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently with structured tasks

  • Strong comfort with digital tools and modern office software
