Reporting to the Manager of Facilities and/or the Head Custodian, the incumbent is responsible for the cleanliness of City-owned facilities. The position is responsible for room set-up, monitoring, performing and recommending repairs/maintenance and carrying out security functions to ensure safe, clean, tidy and well-functioning facilities. 

Education & Work Experience: The position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, as well as a minimum of one (1) year of custodial experience in a public facility, with basic knowledge of the operation of heating systems and other facility equipment. The successful candidate will be able to obtain and maintain a level 3 security clearance and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).

Remuneration: 2025 C.U.P.E. Salary Grid Band 4  – $25.57 per hour. This posting is for an existing seasonal vacancy. Hours of work will be up to 40 hours per week, and shifts may be scheduled on days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
