Job Title: Caterer & Shift Supervisor – Meat and Main Meal Production
Location: Joy Bible Camp, Bancroft, Ontario
Job Type: Flexible workweek – primarily week-end production work (30 – 35 Hours)
Salary: dependant on experience

assistant Caterer & Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic team and contribute to our vibrant camp environment.

Position Summary:
This role is responsible for overseeing our catering operations under the direction of our catering manager, with a focus on producing
high-quality meat and main meal items while supervising kitchen staff during shifts. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient, safe, and
delicious food preparation, maintain operational standards, and provide strong leadership in a fast-paced camp setting.

Key Responsibilities:
● Catering & Meal Production:
○ Plan, prepare, and produce meat dishes and main course meals in accordance with our menu guidelines.
○ Ensure all food preparation complies with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
○ Monitor food quality and presentation to consistently meet high standards.

● Shift Supervision:
○ Oversee and manage kitchen staff during shifts, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
○ Provide training and mentorship to kitchen team members, ensuring adherence to operational procedures.
○ Resolve any service or operational issues promptly to maintain a smooth workflow and positive guest experience.

● Operational Management:
○ Maintain inventory levels, manage supply orders, and control food costs.
○ Collaborate with camp leadership to coordinate special events and large-scale meal services.
○ Implement and refine processes to improve kitchen efficiency and productivity.
○ Ensure that the work environment is clean, organized, and compliant with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications:
● Cooking experience, with a strong background in meat and main meal preparation.
● Previous supervisory or shift management experience in a catering, hospitality, or similar environment.
● Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
● Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
● Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

● Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
● Passion for service in a mission-driven, Christian environment; alignment with our core values is highly desired.
● Culinary certification or relevant training is preferred.
