Job Description: IT Help Desk Technician
IT help desk technicians should have a mix of technical and customer service skills and be passionate about technology and helping people.
We support Dial up, DSL, Cable and Wireless Internet.
Position is part-time, approximately 30 hours per week.
Basic Function/Responsibilities:
- Handle Tier 1 help desk escalations through email, telephone and Ticketing System.
- Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution.
- Create accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process.
- Provide technical support for other employees as requested or directed.
- Work with Management to monitor internal assets, ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Have an understanding of when and where to escalate as needed.
- Ensure daily reporting of ticket status,
- Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed.
Required Experience:
- Windows7/10, Mac OS X, Google Collaboration Apps, Microsoft Word
- Mac and PC hardware, printers and other peripherals, Mobile Devices
- Wired and wireless connectivity
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users
