Job Description:  IT Help Desk Technician 

IT help desk technicians should have a mix of technical and customer service skills and be passionate about technology and helping people. 

 

We support Dial up, DSL, Cable and Wireless Internet. 

Position is part-time, approximately 30 hours per week.  

 

Basic Function/Responsibilities: 

  • Handle Tier 1 help desk escalations through email, telephone and Ticketing System. 
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution. 
  • Create accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process. 
  • Provide technical support for other employees as requested or directed. 
  • Work with Management to monitor internal assets, ensuring accurate inventory records. 
  • Have an understanding of when and where to escalate as needed. 
  • Ensure daily reporting of ticket status, 
  • Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed. 

Required Experience: 

  • Windows7/10, Mac OS X, Google Collaboration Apps, Microsoft Word 
  • Mac and PC hardware, printers and other peripherals, Mobile Devices 
  • Wired and wireless connectivity 
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills 
  • Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users
