General Construction Labourer

Pay: CA$18.00–CA$22.00 per hour

Marquise Construction is a Tarion-registered custom home builder based in Prince Edward County. We create architect-driven, luxury residential homes and high-end renovations with a focus on craftsmanship, innovation, and exceptional client experience. As a small, highly skilled team, we value professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

We are looking for a motivated General Labourer who is eager to learn and contribute to the construction of premium custom homes.

Job Summary

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in a clean and organized job site, and is interested in developing skills in the trades. You will work alongside carpenters and site supervisors, supporting day-to-day construction activities. For the right candidate, this position offers a pathway to a carpentry apprenticeship within our company.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site setup, cleanup, and organization
• Load, unload, and move construction materials efficiently
• Support carpenters with basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and preparing materials
• Operate basic tools safely (with training provided)
• Maintain strict safety standards to ensure a clean and hazard-free worksite
• Follow directions and work collaboratively with the site team

Qualifications

• Strong willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation to job sites across Prince Edward County
• Positive attitude and a genuine interest in the construction industry
