Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate BCT’s wheelchair-accessible vehicle on scheduled routes
• Provide door-to-door service for medical appointments and treatments
• Assist clients in safely boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs
• Use vehicle ramp, and tie-downs as per training and safety standards
• Maintain accurate daily mileage, gas cards, vehicle inspection and trip logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and office staff
• Keep vehicles clean, fueled, and report maintenance needs promptly
• Ensure client safety, comfort, and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:
|
• Valid Class G driver’s licence
• Clean driving record
• Physically capable of lifting, loading, and securing manual wheelchairs
• Must be able to adapt to a changing schedule and work well under pressure
• Must have access to:
o A mobile phone with GPS
o Email and printer access (for receiving daily schedules and submitting
mileage reports nightly)
• Friendly, professional, and dependable demeanor
• Must be comfortable driving in and around Belleville and including areas such
as Kingston, Peterborough and Toronto.
• MUST pass a Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
