Trent Travel is seeking an Apprentice Travel Agent for our office in Bancroft, ON.  This position is primarily a travel sales position, for the right person who enjoys all things travel related, likes helping people and wants to be a part of a highly respected company.

Responsibilities

·        Working with the general public, walk-ins and existing customers to help find the best possible travel experience

·        Booking travel for customers using our state-of-the-art Travel Software

·        Helping with the general running of the office including keeping accurate records, answering the phone and invoicing.

·        The right candidate may be encouraged to assist with Social Media marketing

·        Willing to learn about different modes of transportation and travel destinations

Qualifications

·        Administrative skills a must.

·        Proficient in computers including Word, Outlook and Excel

·        Customer service, working with the public

·        Excellent work ethic, working to deadline in a fast-paced atmosphere

·        Personal travel experience, travelling outside of Canada

·        Willingness to become Certified by the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO, an online course)

This Apprenticeship is a learning position with a three-month probation period leading to a full-time position of Travel Agent.  Free travel is NOT included.
