Joy Bible Camp is seeking a Baker and Shift Supervisor to join our dedicated team. This unique role blends the art of baking with leadership responsibilities, ensuring our bakery operations run smoothly while fostering a positive environment for our staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Baking Excellence: Prepare, bake, and present a variety of high-quality baked goods following established recipes and quality standards.
• Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and support kitchen and serving staff during shifts—creating schedules, delegating tasks, and maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment..
• Inventory and Cost Control: Oversee inventory management, order supplies as needed, and monitor costs to ensure efficient operations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with management to plan menus and special event catering, and address any operational issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Enthusiasm and  experience as a baker able to adapt new recipes for production in the kitchen..
• Experience in a supervisory or shift management role, ideally within a hospitality or camp setting.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, food safety standards, and quality control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• A passion for creating a warm, mission-driven environment aligned with the values of Joy Bible Camp.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Culinary certification or relevant training is preferred.
