Kinesiologist/ Program Manager

The role is suited to a candidate who has demonstrated the ability to thrive in a client-centered environment, is self-motivated, has excellent communication, client service and health coaching skills, an ability to prioritize, who can deliver on a busy caseload, while working with, and addressing the needs of multi-disciplinary teams including physiotherapists, chiropractors, occupational therapists.

Job Duties:

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience, having conducted assessments, provided clients with the best possible solutions for their needs, and carried out delegated treatment plans within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation setting. Partnering with clients you have defined and delivered RTW (return to work) and FTW (fitness to work) activities and assisted in setting and achieving functional goals.

Conduct ergonomic assessments, make recommendations, prepare progress and discharge reports, while ensuring proactive and timely communication with the treating clinicians (PTs, OTs, and Chiropractors).

Assist in worker education, training, and job coaching.

Conduct Workplace Accommodation assessments and make recommendations including the design, implementation, coaching and supervision of graded exercise, follow-up and managing bookings such as re-schedules.

Treat Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), WSIB, and private clients in a gym setting including performing reassessment of client progress through functional testing.

Liaise with WSIB stakeholders to communicate client progress. Timely completion of documentation such as functional and subjective findings, functional components of reports for initial assessment, progress, discharge, and completion of tracking sheets.

Manage a daily case load of 8 to 12 patients.

Conduct educational lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients.

Assist with product sales including contacting insurance companies, follow up, order placement, and completion of the sales process.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Graduate of University Kinesiology degree program

Registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO)

2+ years’ experience in multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs would be a strong asset

– Be willing to learn the PPSC system and perform the system and procedures.

– Energetic with an interest and willingness to grow with PPSC

– The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
