Situated on 3 acres on the York River in Bancroft, Riverstone Residence is a locally and independently owned 30-room retirement home for independent Seniors. www.riverstoneresidence.com

Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, Riverstone is looking for a part-time General Handyperson to assist in ensuring the Riverstone residents and employees continue to have a safe and healthy facility to enjoy. 

Duties include:  

·         Preventive maintenance on the building and equipment to ensure operating properly and efficiently.  

·         Where needed, general repair utilizing own skillset and/or arranging for local repair experts

·         Grounds maintenance including snow removal and lawn care with Riverstone owned equipment (i.e. tractor snow blower and lawn tractor)

·         When needed, assisting residents with minor suite maintenance and preparing suites for new residents (i.e. painting). 

Qualifications:

·         Experience in electrical/mechanical/technical building systems and equipment is an asset

·         3 to 5 years work experience in a similar maintenance position

·         Valid driver’s license

·         Ability to understand and relate well to senior adults

·         Must be flexible
