Job Type: Contract, Part-time                                   Supervises:  Staff and Volunteers

Wage: $27.00 hr.                                                       Hours: 24-28 flex weekly hours,

Position Description:

Maggie’s Resource Centre of North Hastings promotes knowledge and understanding of violence against women, the cycle of violence and its effect on the victim and her children. Resources include crisis counselling, safe spaces, advocacy and empowerment for women.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Administrative Manager of Maggie’s Resource Centre of North Hastings (MRCNH) will be responsible for facilitating the administration, programs, human resources, finances, and ministry compliance of the organization.


Education and Experience

  • Working experience in social work and/or 3 years of progressive administrative and management experience.
  • Proven skills in all aspects of supervision including team leadership, training, and hiring, evaluating, coaching, motivating staff, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with the principles and practices of accounting, budgeting, and financial planning with experience in budgeting and grant programs.
  • Experience partnering with multiple community organizations in the provision of programs and services.
  • Experience in operational planning including facilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation, regulations and political astuteness relating to all aspects of community, municipal, provincial and federal environments.
  • A proven ability to champion and successfully implement change.
  • Proficiency with digital and electronic devices and programs, and adept at learning new systems and technologies.

  • Excellent relationship management skills and emotional intelligence

  • Knowledge of basic computer software programs
  • Active commitment to personal growth and lifelong learning.


  • Access to own vehicle and valid Driver’s Licence.
  • Appropriate insurance for the vehicle used for work purposes.

  • Standard First Aid Certificate CPR
